M12 Alignment Washers (also known as M12 Taper Washers or Slotted Shim Washers) are used in structural steelwork connections to allow for slight misalignment between bolt holes in steel sections without putting bending stress into the bolt shank. The oversized or slotted hole accepts the M12 bolt while the washer distributes the clamping load. Typically used in portal frame steelwork and structural bolted connections.
